Feather-touch Web browsing & e-mailing

The latest from the Apple stable. It combines the best of eBook reader and conventional laptop features. It has high-resolution 9.7-inch LED-backlit IPS displays, which is good for web browsing, photo viewing, e-book reading and watching movies. It is available in flash storage of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. At one-charge, its battery lasts for up to 10 hours - ideal for web surfing on Wi-Fi, watching videos and listening to music.

The iPad’s large multi-touch screen is well suited for browsing and its large, onscreen keyboard makes drafting email a pleasurable experience. It also has a dock which can be attached to external full-size keyboard. It is well-suited for reading books and iBook app can be downloaded for free from the App Store.

The photos can be flipped, zoomed in or out and can be imported by connecting to a computer or directly to a digital camera. With the iPod app, music is literally on fingertips. But, it doesn't have an in-built camera which is the main drawback of the device. It is expected to be available in the US from April 3, 2010.  The iPad will also be available in a 3G model with fast data speeds up to 7.2 Mbps.
